A carreira a solo do David Sylvian nunca foi comercial mas o álbum "Blemish" foi particularmente ousado e experimental. O novo Manafon segue o mesmo caminho mas, na minha opinião, é bem mais interessante. A principal diferença está na mudança das electrónicas para as improvisações mais acústicas. Mas sempre muito muito minimalistas, quase ambientais, por vezes silêncio absoluto. É preciso disposição para apreciar o álbum, mas quando as condições estão criadas, é um álbum único.
Fiquem com o vídeo da faixa "Small Metal Gods" e acompanhem a letra. E sim, este é o single e é mesmo a faixa mais acessível do álbum (!).
